To Mars and Back - Extreme Engineering by Janet Kavandi

Bio - Janet Kavandi earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry at Missouri Southern State College-Joplin, a master's in that subject from the University of Missouri-Rolla and a doctorate in analytical chemistry from the University of Washington-Seattle. In 1995, Kavandi became an astronaut. She flew on the Space Shuttle three times and spent more than 33 days in space. She currently serves as director of flight crew operations at the Johnson Space Center in Houston. Janet will report to Glenn in early March.
